A dog can’t stop going viral after escaping from his owner’s home and joining a cross-country ski race—part of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, just as skiers were in the home stretch. The wolfdog’s name is Nazgul, and no one seems to hold the faux pas against him.

“Nazgul started the day as just another Italian dog. He’ll end it as a #WinterOlympics legend,” wrote NBC Olympics in a TikTok post sharing footage of Nazgul running with skiers in the cross-country race.

Reports suggest the dog lives nearby, and he managed to open two doors to escape the home. He then ran to the cross-country ski track and nonchalantly participated in an Olympics race. NBC Olympics playfully shared close-up footage of the dog crossing the finish line, awarding him Gold in the “Good Boy Olympics.”
