Not one, not two, not three, but FOUR Florida panthers on a trail camera gave the Florida community a surprise over the weekend. Tom Mortensen’s trail cam set up near Immokalee captured footage of the Florida panther family, and WINK News meteorologist Matt Devitt shared screen grabs of the video on X.

“WOW!” Devitt wrote in his X caption. “Check out all the Florida panthers caught on a trail cam over the weekend near Immokalee!”
Florida panthers (Puma concolor coryi) are a rare subspecies of mountain lion that only lives in southern Florida. The Nature Conservancy reports there are likely only a couple hundred of these animals left in the wild, which makes seeing four of them at once incredibly rare and exciting.
