Toogee Sielsch “Tahoe Toogee” has been an unofficial black bear expert in his local area of south Lake Tahoe, California for about 40 years. He captures some great black-bear moments from the Tahoe area on his trail cameras, including a recent one showing a young bear cub mercilessly ambushing its sibling at a watering hole.

“Sibling ambush!” writes Sielsch in the video’s caption on Instagram. “In real time and half speed slomo.”
In the brief video, you can see one black bear cub cautiously approaching a watering hole through a night-vision trail camera. Suddenly, another black bear cub comes into view from the left, surprising the first cub, who rears up on its hind legs.
The interaction is short but cute. Sielsch added a half-speed, slow-motion version of the moment to his social media video, too.
