A hilarious moment caught on video shows hikers cluelessly walking past what could have been the highlight of their day—a large bull moose standing just off trail. A woman and her daughter were out on the lake in a canoe, and they could see the hikers walking past the moose. At one point, a woman walks right up to the lake to take some scenic photos, completely unaware of the huge animal standing behind her.

Christy (christyltravel) is the person who filmed the video from her canoe. She tried her best to shout at the hikers as they passed the moose. Eventually, she alerted the woman taking a photo of the moose.

“Banff . . . when a Bull Moose shows up right next to the hiking trail and no one notices,” wrote Christy in her TikTok post sharing the footage, which has over 1.7 million views. “Before you yell at me about my yelling, I have seen Moose charge humans and it’s not a pretty sight. I have hiked many remote places in the US and grizzly and moose areas keep me alert on trails! They can show up on popular trails.”
