A viral video with over 6.5 million views mysteriously shows a camper van floating away in the ocean. Apparently, it wasn’t the first time that day that the same vehicle ran into some trouble on the beach.

“Someone is having a bad morning,” wrote Mark Williams, who was in the right place at the right time and captured the viral video of the unfortunate situation.

Some people who viewed the video felt sorry for the camper van’s owners.
The top comment is: “Oh no, I feel for the owners. Did someone call for help to get to van out? That is someone’s travel home being destroyed.”
Others just made fun of the situation.
“Sleeps 4, sea views . . .” joked one person.
So what exactly happened?
It seems the owners of the camper van simply drove too close to the rising tide at Traeth y Greigddu (Black Rock Sands) beach in Wales, got stuck, and then got swept to sea. Notably, the beach is famous because it allows vehicles to drive on the soft sand, so the camper van owners weren’t breaking any rules.
Local news details how some Good Samaritans on jet skis helped get the camper out of the ocean. Ultimately, it required a tractor.
This incident marked the second time the camper van got stuck in the sand that day. The first time, NorthWalesLive says other vehicles were able to tow the camper out of danger before the waves swept it away. Bad day, indeed.
