A black bear broke into a car that was only unlocked for a short period of time, proving how resourceful these animals can be once they’ve associated humans with food. Eric Gil recently shared footage of a bear opening the door of a white vehicle outside his Airbnb (location unspecified). As Gil watched the scene play out, he helplessly repeated “no, no, no, no!” The bear smelled peanuts inside.

In fact, the bear clearly knew what it was doing. It used the door handle to get into the car, promptly found a bag of peanuts, grabbed the bag in its mouth, and then shut the car door on its way out. Gil was left flabbergasted at what he’d just witnessed.
