Moo-Deng’s keepers share near-daily photos and video clips of her on TikTok and other social media platforms. In the videos, you can watch her eat grapes, take dips in the water, accept rubs from her keepers, and run around like a hyper puppy.
In general, baby pygmy hippos are weirdly adorable. They look squishy and slick, and they have sweet rosy cheeks. Moo-Deng is certainly no exception. Her funny antics and cuteness have won over the internet, and hoards of people are visiting her at the zoo every day.

Pygmy hippos (Choeropsis liberiensis) are smaller cousins of the common hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibius) we all know and love. Pygmy hippos live in West Africa in forests and swamps, mostly in Liberia with small populations elsewhere in the region. These animals are nocturnal herbivores, and their habitat is threatened by logging.
