WATCH: Hidden Owl Reveals Itself, Shows off Striking Camouflage

A tree transforms into an owl before your eyes in a video from Ken Anderson, a wildlife photographer from Canada who takes some stunning photos and videos of Canadian wildlife, including great gray owls. One of Anderson’s videos in particular shows off a great gray owl’s stunning camouflage. One second, you can’t see the owl, and the next you can.

Great gray owls are large owls that live not only in North America (mostly in Canada) but also in Scandinavia, Russia, Siberia, and Mongolia. They eat small mammals like voles. They have mottled gray feathers that look nearly identical to the bark of a tree.
