Relaxing in a hot tub is usually a carefree experience, but not for this family—at least in this instance. A man and a woman inside a hot tub heard some rustling in the bushes, and though they suspected it might be a raccoon, it was actually a cougar. A video of the pair searching the bushes for the source of the noises and then discovering a set of glowing eyes went viral.

Natalee Dennis was the woman taking the video from the hot tub, and the man in the footage is her dad. Dennis shared her startling video to TikTok, labeling the location as Tofino, British Columbia in Canada.
The cougar is really close—unnervingly close.
