‘Watch Your Hands’: Two Rattlesnakes Hang out in Pool Filter

Snake-removal expert Bruce Ireland got a call saying someone saw a snake slither into a community pool filter. Well, as it turns out, there were not one but two snakes in that pool filter . . . and they weren’t just any snakes—they were rattlesnakes.

“Summer is here,” wrote Ireland in a social-media post sharing his discovery. “Watch where you put your hands.”

As Ireland pulls the snakes from the filter, he identifies them as two different rattlesnake species. Ireland adds that this isn’t the first time he’s found snakes in pool filters before (he’s based in southern California).

Moral of the story: Now that it’s both pool season and snake season, watch where you put your hands!
