‘Kraken Emerging From Rocks’: Octopus Video Will Blow Your Mind

One man captured an epic video of an octopus emerging from a pile of rocks, and the footage is blowing up online. Quinn Barabash (“Captain Quinn” on Instagram) is based in British Columbia, Canada, but he doesn’t say where he took the video. The footage shows what appears to be a giant Pacific octopus as it exits a small hole in some rocks near the shore.

“Kraken emerging from rocks,” joked Barabash in his Instagram post sharing the video.

Octopuses don’t have bones, so they’re able to move through extremely small spaces. And this is on full display in Captain Quinn’s video, which has over 400,000 views. If you’ve never seen an octopus demonstrate this ability before, it’ll probably blow your mind.

“I wonder what [it’s] like to be made of gloop,” asked one person in the comments section.

“Duuuuude that’s gnarly!!!” wrote another.
