‘First Firefall of the Season’: See this Famous Yosemite Attraction

This past weekend, travelers to Yosemite National Park in California were treated to an incredible natural spectacle: Firefall. This uniquely Yosemite attraction is famous because it only happens during a short window of time each year.

In mid-to-late February, when conditions are right, Horsetail Falls transforms into a natural firefall at sunset. The setting sun reflects off the cascading water at just the right angle, making it glow orange and red—as if it were on fire.

Folks have been flocking to the park for a chance to see this winter phenomenon, and on February 21, they were rewarded.
