For all who are following the saga of Jackie and Shadow, the internet-famous pair of bald eagles living in California’s Big Bear Valley, Jackie has laid a second egg. This egg (and the one Jackie laid about a week ago, are particularly special, since a raven destroyed the pair’s first clutch of eggs this season.

The Friends of Big Bear Valley (FOBBV) operates the livestream nest camera that showcases Jackie and Shadow’s lives to the world. The non-profit shares frequent updates about the beloved eagles on social media, and their video clips regularly get tens of thousands of views, if not more.
