Vijith Bhargav and more than a dozen other wildlife photographers spent hours waiting for the moment a rare “ghost” cat emerged from its very long nap. The result was a beautiful moment and a beautiful shot. Bhargav shared his footage on Instagram, and it has nearly 6 million views. The animal the photographers were waiting for was a snow leopard, nicknamed the “ghost of the Himalayas,” because it’s elusive and hard to spot, thanks to its excellent camouflage.

“15 photographers held their breath, when the Ghost of the Himalayas . . . graced us by coming out of his 9 hours sleep,” wrote Bhargav in his post sharing the exciting moment.
