A family of black bears recently broke into a San Bernardino, California family’s home by climbing a tall tree, going over a railing, and entering through a third-story window that was cracked open. The bears woke the homeowner, Tom Vender Wende, who didn’t initially realize at least one bear had been inside his home raiding the guinea-pig food. Thankfully, the guinea pigs themselves survived, but the bear(s) left quite a mess in that third-floor room.

“Break-in caught on camera! A San Bernardino homeowner woke up in middle of the night to sounds of an intruder,” wrote local ABC 7 News in an Instagram post sharing Vender Wende’s footage of the culprits. “The intruder? Bears!”
