“Take a look at this video of a dog and its owner getting rescued during the flooding in Sedona,” wrote Holly Bock, an Arizona weather forecaster, on Facebook. “Luckily both appear to be ok!!”
The City of Sedona is posting road closure and damage updates on Facebook, and the Mayor has signed a local Proclamation of Emergency. According to a post yesterday, State Route 89A in Oak Creek Canyon is closed to all through traffic between Owenby Way roundabout in Sedona and Flagstaff. Local canyon residents who provide proof of residency may use SR 89A to access Sedona for goods and services.
