This Texas Lake Is America’s Best Bass Fishing Spot for 2023

Texas’s O.H. Ivie Lake is the best lake in America for bass fishing, according to the editors at Bassmaster Magazine.  

The magazine released their list of the top 100 lakes on Monday, breaking down America’s greatest bass fishing spots by region. The annual list was developed after spending months compiling data across the country, according to editors.

O.H. Iver has already produced 15 bass over 13 pounds in the first three months of 2023, cementing its status as the premier trophy bass fishery in the U.S.

In second spot is the St. Lawrence River, a 50-mile stretch known for scenic beauty and feisty smallmouth bass, and at number 3, after two years out of the top spot, is California’s Clear Lake, which was aided from the wettest spring in years which flooded vegetation and fed hungry bass.
