Unfortunately, camping is not one of the features that the Chena River State Recreation Site offers their guests. However, there are a number of campgrounds near this state park that are perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who are looking to be one with nature for the night.

Amenities at Chena River State Recreation Site

The park is perfectly placed along the Chena River, which makes it an ideal spot for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. The Chena Hot Springs Road is located parallel to the river, which provides all the guests with an easy entrance and exit point.

Things to do at Chena River State Recreation Site

This is an all year round seasons park, which means that the activities that it offers its guest really depend on what season it is. For example, during the winter months, guest come to this park to watch or take part in two major dog sled races that use a portion of the Chena Hot Springs Winter Trail every year. Hiking, hunting, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and rock-climbing are also very popular activities at Chena River State Recreation Site.

The park is open from 9AM till 5PM during the week. It is closed on the weekend.
