“This is really weird. It is rain! It’s coming like that?!” exclaims Hannah Ford in a funny viral video circulating online. Ford’s video shows a wall of rain advancing toward her as she stands in the middle of a street in San Diego, California. What Ford finds bizarre is how the rain appears as a bright line on the asphalt slowly moving toward her. When the line finally reaches her, she gets drenched, and then the rain shower just moves on right past her.

At one point, she says the phenomenon felt like “sci-fi.” She also calls the experience “bizarre.”
Local news picked up the video and shared it on Instagram. Many folks commented, saying they’ve witnessed something similar. Several people infer that Ford’s sense of wonder is endearing and contagious.
