The incident occurred near The Cliff House in San Francisco, California. Local news shared footage of rescue crews helping the woman into a harness and helmet and then assisting her back up the cliff to safety.

“San Francisco fire crews swiftly rescued a woman who was . . . clinging to the side of a cliff near San Francisco’s Cliff House on Wednesday,” wrote @abc7newsbayarea in an Instagram post. “SKY7 was over the entire rescue operation, and when they first arrived on scene, they spotted a woman about 70 feet down the cliff. It took a few tense minutes to get moving, but rescue crews were able to walk the woman safely up the cliff.”
