There is a lake about a mile from the 50 Campfires office, and on a hot August day I’ve often wanted to go swimming over the lunch hour. The problem? There isn’t a place to change! Something as simple as shelter is really taken for granted until you don’t have it. This summer however, will be different! We have the Stansport Privacy Shelter to cover our pale Midwest bodies!
I actually love this thing. It literally sets up in 3 seconds, and it’s made from 90 D nylon so it’s not going to fall apart after a few uses. It’s also seven feet tall, so if you’re an NBA player you can also join us at the beach and change comfortably. It comes with stakes, which you’ll need on a windy day because the Privacy Shelter weighs practically nothing. It also comes with a floor, which is nice at the beach or if the ground is muddy. Tents can get horribly hot in the summer, so the window is also a nice addition. Our only complaint? It can be a little tricky to pack up if you don’t know how to fold it.
