Robert Martinez is a self-proclaimed “mountain-lion-obsessed” videographer and photographer who operates in the Angeles National Forest surrounding Los Angeles, California. He recently shared a compilation video showing clips from one of his trail cams positioned within the national forest. The clips, taken between August and October of this year, show a range of the national forest’s “wild residents,” including mountain lions.

“Peak performance in the Angeles National Forest,” wrote Martinez in his Instagram post sharing the trail-cam footage. “We got bobcats, a barn owl, a few deer, a golden eagle, some foxes, a common poorwill, a great horned owl, a couple of different mountain lions, the ever elusive ringtail and an early morning appearance by a bear, only four hours before I showed up. This is actually the first time this camera has captured a ringtail and a barn owl. Always expect the unexpected.”
