Sustainable Toilet Paper Company Releases a ‘Deforested’ Edition of ‘Winnie-the-Pooh’

A company called “Who Gives a Crap” has reimagined the classic story “Winnie-the-Pooh.” The company fights waste by making 100% recycled paper fibers or bamboo toilet paper. So, to further their message about sustainability and conservation, they’ve decided to rerelease the children’s story with some disappointing images of deforestation.

The classic book from A.A. Milne became part of the public domain in 2022. The toilet paper company figured now was the best time to update the story with accurate depictions of some of the world’s forests. According to a press release, the company kept the story the same but changed the images to remove trees and leave behind tree stumps.

The company put the book up on their website for sale, but it appears to have sold out already. However, there is a downloadable e-book version for anyone who wants to see the updated images.
