These National Parks Made NatGeo’s Best Places to Travel 2026

National Geographic just released its Best of the World list for best places to travel in 2026, and several national parks across the globe got a nod. The list of 25 destinations includes places like Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in Australia and Akagera National Park in Rwanda. Other destinations were selected because of their proximity to a specific national park. Examples include Quebec, Canada, which offers access to the newly created Nibiischii Park, Banff, Canada (Banff National Park), and the North Dakota badlands (Theodore Roosevelt National Park).
