Pesto the King penguin chick is, frankly, humongous, and he’s famous for it. Pesto lives at Sea Life Melbourne, an aquarium in Melbourne, Australia, and he’s broken the record there for being the largest penguin chick ever, weighing 21 kilos (46 pounds) at just nine months old.

The aquarium recently did a gender reveal for the plump penguin, revealing the Pesto is officially a boy. Pesto is already larger than his foster parents, and he towers above the other king penguins he lives with as well.
Sea Life Melbourne says Pesto eagerly eats about 25 fish a day, which is roughly twice what their adult King penguins require. For now, the chick is fluffy and brown, but after he molts, he’ll get his adult feathers and look like a regular—albeit ginormous—black, white, and yellow King penguin.
