A heat lamp caught fire in a backyard shed in Irvine, California, and the shed’s only resident, a tortoise, was forced to make an escape at top speed. Thankfully, the tortoise did escape the flames.

Local KTLA 5 News reports that the homeowner was at a Super Bowl party when the fire started. Neighbors were able to douse the flames before the fire spread to other structures.
