Wyoming-based wildlife photographer Tammy Lyn Neufeld recently shared a video of a bison at Yellowstone National Park, but it’s actually the people observing the bison that drew her attention, in this particular case. As Neufeld notes in her caption, the tourists are way too close the massive animal.

“Good sense is not handed out at the park gates it seems,” jokes Neufeld in a Facebook post sharing her video. “They were 3 feet from this bull. You can’t tell people anything.”
The footage shows multiple visitors taking photos of a bison standing in front of a parked vehicle. The bison is calm, but what these folks don’t seem to know is that its demeanor could change quickly, and they’d be in real danger.
