“From the wilds of Nepal, a melanistic leopard, more commonly known as a black panther, stops in its tracks to eye the WEAPON 4K trail camera deployed by @sonamtac of the @redpandanetwork,” wrote Solaris Trail Cameras in an Instagram post sharing the video footage. “Melanistic animals are quite a rare sight, and capturing them on camera is even rarer, so we are stoked to revisit this incredible footage from the beautiful country of Nepal!”

The footage (and the cat itself) is stunning. The video shows the leopard stop and look around, before gracefully walking offscreen.
