Trail-cam footage from Thailand’s Kaeng Krachan National Park captured a very rare sight: a clouded leopard and her cub walking through the forest. Local news reports that park officials had originally set up the camera trap in January with hopes to film a herd of wild banteng (wild bovines native to the area). Instead, they got these beautiful, elusive wild cats.

In a Facebook post, Kaeng Krachan National Park calls the footage “very rare,” adding that catching this clouded leopard pair on camera is “the greatest fortune.” Clouded leopards (Neofelis nebulosa) are classified as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. These cats’ main threats include habitat loss due to deforestation and illegal hunting.
