WATCH: Beautiful Arctic Scene Shows Polar Bear AND Belugas

Greg LeCoeur is an ocean and wildlife photographer who captured a beautiful scene on a recent expedition to the Arctic for a biodiversity project. In the video, you can see a polar bear standing on sea ice in the background and several belugas swimming in the foreground. It’s a spectacular moment caught on film that showcases the beauty of the Arctic.

Polar bears and belugas are two iconic Arctic species, alongside species like narwhals, Arctic foxes, caribou, snowy owls, and walruses. There’s just something so special about LeCoeur’s video, which captures two of these incredible species in the same frame.

Though many people associate penguins with Earth’s poles, penguins only live in the southern hemisphere, so you’ll never see a polar bear and a penguin together in the wild. If you see a penguin surrounded by ice in a photo, you can assume it’s the Antarctic (South Pole) and not the Arctic (North Pole).
