Ben Wolf Noam recorded a video of a black bear sniffing around his groceries on a Connecticut front porch. Thankfully, the bear didn’t start digging into the grocery-delivery bags, and it moved on its way peacefully. The video attracted a lot of attention online.

As the black bear approaches the front porch curiously, Noam says, “uh-oh, the groceries are outside.”
“Oh no!” replies a woman in the background.
The pair giggle nervously as the bear sniffs around but ultimately decides not to dig into the paper bags sealed closed with adhesive labels. Noam jokes that the bear is picky if Whole Food isn’t good enough for it.

Other people in the comments section make similar jokes.
“It’s not a good sign when a bear won’t eat the groceries you ordered,” one person wrote.
“That’s like $3k in groceries,” another person jests.
In reality, anyone who cares about bears will be glad the bear didn’t decide to dig in and indulge in some Whole Foods groceries. When bears discover an easy human meal, they often come back looking for more, which can cause bear/human conflicts that sometimes don’t end well.
