A group of Sahuarita Police Department officers recently faced an unusual task. They needed to catch a large black bear as it fell from a tree in a residential neighborhood in southern Arizona. The resulting video gained a lot of attention online.

“SPD gets their man, no, . . . bear!” wrote Sahuarita PD in an Instagram post sharing the footage. “Yesterday evening, a bear was located in Rancho Sahuarita. Arizona Game and Fish safely tranquilized and relocated the bear.”

In the video, the bear slowly succumbs to a tranquilizer dart, then falls from the tree into a tarp held by a group of officers. The weight of the bear pulls one officer on top of the bear, and then the group scatters.
