WATCH: Wild Coyote Crosses Frozen Pond in NYC’s Central Park

At least one wild coyote calls New York City’s Central Park home, based on recent footage of the animal crossing a frozen pond. A New York photographer, Michael Silverstone, caught the coyote walking across the ice and posted his video on Instagram, joking: “If anybody’s wild coyote is on the loose in NYC, I found it.”

Silverstone admits he was actually relieved when he realized the animal was a wild coyote and not someone’s lost pet wandering around the massive Manhattan park. Some folks in the comments section note that locals believe this is one of two wild coyotes that call the area home.
