Woman Wakes From Nap, Finds a Bear in Her Living Room (Video)

Can you imagine taking a nap on the living-room couch, and then waking up to find a large black bear watching TV in the same room? This happened to Susan Kehoe, who woke up and didn’t panic. Instead, she grabbed her phone and recorded a video of the bear. She spoke to it, reminding it not to get too close to the TV.

“On a sweltering summer afternoon, I left the front door ajar to catch the cool mountain breeze,” Kehoe wrote in a TikTok post sharing the video. “I drifted asleep on the couch and awoke to an astonishing sight: a bear had wandered in and was quietly watching my television. Talk about a shock!”

Kehoe frequently shares content about black bears to her TikTok account. She’s lived in bear territory for decades (in Highland Lakes, New Jersey), and she says she shares these videos to educate the public about “the true disposition” of American black bears.
