Two things you should always have at the campsite are a lighter and duct tape. Because you’re always looking to save space, you can wrap some duct tape around your lighter, and you’ll always have a some handy. When you’re out on a day hike you probably don’t want to carry around a full roll of duct tape, so wrap your lighter in duct tape. With this little trick if you get a blister you have some ready to go so you can comfortably make it back to camp.
