Have You Seen A Viral Video of a Massive Rope Swing? Here’s How You Can Do That

There’s more than one viral video on social media of an unbelievably high rope swing. It looks like bungee jumping mixed with a fall a rock climber would take. The person leaps into a canyon and swings between two towering rock walls. The audio is mostly screaming. These rope swings are real, and you can do it near a national park.

Here’s one of those videos:

In the video, it’s almost hard to see the rope as a person takes a massive plunge below. As comments point out, it almost looks like they’re cliff diving until you realize how far it is.

While it’s tough to know the exact location of this video, it does look like the southwest of the U.S., where we found at least one company that offers these rope swings in the Moab, Utah, area outside Arches National Park.

The company Rope Swing Moab takes guests to a 400-foot cliff, and when they’re ready to go, they take a massive leap into the canyon below. It’s not for the faint of heart.

The exact location isn’t shared until you book, but it is on public land, as they operate with a permit from the Department of the Interior and Bureau of Land Management. Making the plume is also not the cheapest adventure at $449 a person, but it’s certainly a unique experience.

The company says they test the equipment before each jump to ensure “it is completely safe.” They also use guides who are first aid and CPR certified.

According to the Rope Swing Moab, they have multiple cameras to capture the action, and guests can book additional swings at check out.

Here’s some of the footage from the jump:

So, how do you get back up there once you drop down? The company says they have a mechanical winch that pulls jumpers back up.

Are you brave enough to try this?
