Josephine Johnson just wants to remind everyone that rattlesnakes can swim, so if you live in a place where rattlesnakes also live, don’t forget to watch where you wade. Johnson recently came across an Eastern diamondback rattlesnake in the water near Hunting Island State Park in South Carolina, and she filmed it. She posted her footage to social media, asking her online community: “Did you know rattlesnakes can swim??”

“On my way to [Fripp Island Resort] and I stopped by the wildlife viewing area that’s part of [Hunting Island Beach and State Park] complex, and I saw this #rattlesnake,” Johnson wrote in her Instagram caption sharing the video. “WOW!!!”
