A southern-California woman recently suffered from a rattlesnake bite while she was tending to the garden in front of her house. A security camera captured the scary moment on camera.

“Linda Martin was just trying to trim her roses when her security cameras captured her getting bitten by a rattlesnake outside her Stevenson Ranch home over the weekend,” says CBS LA in an Instagram post sharing the footage, along with an interview with Martin.

In the interview, Martin says the rattlesnake wasn’t making any noise that would have warned her of its presence in her rose bushes. Within 30-45 seconds, she says she felt a tingling sensation throughout her body. After failing to reach 9-1-1 due to spotty service, her husband rushed her to the emergency room. She received anti-venom and is now recovering at home.
