In a new viral video, a young girl looks on as a bear hangs out in her family’s backyard pool, playing with her mermaid dolls. The family lives in the greater Los Angeles area, clearly somewhere near mountains and wild spaces, and they seem to be used to this type of visitor to their pool.

The bearlywildla Instagram account shares videos of the family’s backyard bear visits. This one stands out because a bear is playing with the young girl’s toys. Although the animal is brownish black, it’s a black bear—the only bear species currently native to California.
