Some hikers recently gave the right of way to the true locals on a trail in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park. A family of moose took over the trail for a good 20 minutes, according to Brady Oakey, who took and shared the video.

“20 minute intermission during our run in Teton NP,” Oakey wrote in his Instagram post sharing the footage. “We noticed a big female right smack in the middle of the trail, but her attention wasn’t on us. That’s when we saw the baby . . . then . . . the bull moose. The male was breathing heavy and staring right at us all. We took precautions and got behind some boulders knowing how unpredictable males can be. After several minutes, the female was on the move and the baby and male followed. Getting within a few feet of these animals is something you’ll never forget.”
