It’s day two of Fat Bear Week 2026. Each year, Explore.org puts on this hilarious and fun virtual competition between some of the largest brown bears on Earth—the brown bears that live at Brooks River in Katmai National Park, Alaska. The public can vote for their favorite chunky bear in a series of matchups, ultimately leading to one winner, which will be crowned the fattest bear of 2026.

Matchups are open for voting September 22-29 between 12-9 PM Eastern.
