An “extraordinary” encounter caught on film shows what happened when a wild black rhino saw a horse, possibly for the first time. The footage from South Africa came from Touran Bristow, who owns the horse named Magnum. An account called Ride Zimbabwe shared Bristow’s video, explaining the situation.

“This video was not taken in Zimbabwe but in South Africa by a friend of ours @touranbristow she took it while out riding a few days ago. The horse Magnum is hers,” wrote Ride Zimbabwe. “What makes this video so incredible is the behaviour of the Horse and Rhino. The Rhino is totally Wild and not habituated to Horses or people. Anybody who knows Black Rhino will tell you they will charge first and ask questions later, yet in the video, it’s a different scenario. What a very special encounter don’t you agree?”
