“Oh, he needs to get out of there, dude,” g_up_mtb says in a video showing a man standing near a wall of fire with his bike. The Norte Fire, which is is currently burning in Orange County, California, stopped several mountain bikers in their tracks, and then one man started recording. The wildfire was moving quickly, making the group nervous for the lone person who was still at the top of the hill.

“Fire took seconds to spread across fire road, wife and her friend got caught on the other side, had to circle around streets to get back,” wrote @g_up_mtb in the Instagram post. “So sad for people affected and this awesome trail system. Guy on video is ok.”
The “guy in the video” stayed a little too close to the fire for a little too long, but he eventually rode down the hill to safety.
