The summer of extreme weather continues as a powerful storm rips through Charlotte, North Carolina. WCNC, the local NBC affiliate, shared a video from the Charlotte Motor Speedway of powerful winds shaking a camera as debris flew.

The wind is so powerful you can barely see the track that hosts NASCAR events.

Tuesday’s forecast called for wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour and quarter-sized hail. Local news reports prove the storm was not only bad for those on the ground but also for those in the air, as the strong wind caused hundreds of flight delays from Charlotte’s busy airport.

The stormy weather began Monday night, bringing down trees and damaging people’s homes. Fortunately, there are no reports of any injuries from the extreme weather.

So far this summer, we’ve seen deadly flooding in Vermont and the northeast U.S. and record-setting heat across the southwest U.S. and other parts of the country.
