Melodie Dee recently had a “bucket-list day” when a family of black bears (a mother and her two cubs) played in her backyard for hours. The video footage she got of the family is internet gold.

Dee posted clips to her Instagram, showing the adorable cubs wrestling with each other and with their mom, leaping into Dee’s bushes, and playing a game that looks a lot like hide and seek.

“Yesterday was a bucket list kind of day,” Dee wrote in her Instagram caption. During [her dog’s] first pee of the day, we were met with a mama and her two cubs in the backyard. They hung around all day. Waiting a couple hours until it was safe to come down from the tree after our encounter, and then proceeding to play for hours in the backyard. I have never seen a mama play with her cub in this way before, and it was so beautiful. [. . .] I hope they brighten your day like they brightened mine.”
The video is certainly brightening many people’s day, as the video has now been viewed over 1.7 million times.
