Camping at Gaviota State Park

Gaviota State Park offers their guests a total of 41 developed campsites. The campsites are set up to accommodate tents, recreational vehicles of up to 27 feet, and trailers of up to 25 feet. Due to the extreme popularity of the campsites, guests are permitted to make reservations up to seven months in advanced and are encouraged to do so.

Amenities at Gaviota State Park

Gaviota Hot Springs is only three miles away from the campgrounds. The Gaviota Hot Springs also leads to two small sulfur springs, which are open for public usage. There is a small snack bar and restrooms available to the guests as well as a life tower that is manned by lifeguards during the summer season. If you do not have your own trailer or recreational vehicle, trailers can be rented from 101 RV Rental Concession. 101 RV Rental Concession is actually the only business that is permitted to deliver recreational vehicles and trailers into the park.

Things to do at Gaviota State Park

Some of the activities that guests come to Gaviota State Park to enjoy include swimming, fishing, hiking, and camping. Scuba diving is also an extremely popular activity in the surrounding waters. Though nude bathing is discouraged, it does still happen sometimes at the springs.

Gaviota State Park is open daily from 7AM until sunset. The campgrounds are accessible around the clock to guests who have made reservations.
