Guess What’s Under This Alabama Bridge? (Try Not to Cringe)

A DOT (Dept. of Transportation) biologist, alongside biologists from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) recently spotted something that might make some people a little queasy—a hoard of bats huddled together under an Alabama bridge. And yes, they took a video.

“While you’re driving under bridges, you might be passing right by bats roosting!” wrote the USFWS in an Instagram post sharing the footage. “Bats don’t just hang out in caves—they also use human-made structures like bridges to rest and raise their young.”
