A hiker fell from the chained section on the popular Angels Landing hike in Zion National Park. The chained section is a steep and narrow portion of the hike that requires a permit. Officials say they’ve recovered the hiker’s body from Zion Canyon and notified family, so they can now reveal the victim as 68-year-old Gilberto Ramos of Laredo, Texas. Local news reports that Ramos simply lost his balance. The incident occurred last Friday afternoon.
