Leopard Cubs in Kenya Prove Parenting Woes Are Universal (Video)

For all the other parents, guardians, and caretakers out there feeling run down by constantly active kids, I see you. And so does this leopard mom in Kenya. A safari guide named Karino Lenjir Daniel posted a video of two leopard cubs leaping all over each other and their mom, and she’s just standing there, completely resigned to it. Because what can you do, really? It a funny video and a good reminder that some parenting woes are universal within the animal kingdom.

Daniel’s Facebook profile suggests he is a safari guide based out of Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. He frequently posts videos of African wildlife like leopards, lions, hyenas, giraffe, and more. A recent post included videos of a leopard named Luluka and her cubs.

The first video in Daniel’s post shows the cubs running around their mom wildly, leaping on her back, off her back, and tackling each other. The way Luluka just stands there is a whole vibe. It’s like she’s deep breathing just trying to be OK with the chaos. It’s so relatable.

(Obviously, we’re anthropomorphizing. In reality, Luluka is probably just standing there because she’s on high alert for danger.)

Can you relate to this leopard mom? I sure can.
