While the park does not offer any camping amenities, they park does offer guests a visitor information center that is packed full of anything and everything they could want to know about the park. The park also offers several educational programs for children as well as entire families to enjoy.

Things to do at Old Town San Diego State Historic Park

Old Town San Diego State Historic Park presents guest with an opportunity to learn all about the history of San Diego. Guests will get to experience working in a blacksmith shop, enjoying music from that time period, and engaging in other activities that represent the history of San Diego.

Old Town San Diego State Historic Park Hours
Visitor Center and Museums:
10am – 4pm (October to April).
10am to 5pm (May to September)

Museums are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s
If you would like to visit a museum after 4PM please call ahead.

Old Town San Diego Retail Shops and Restaurants:
10am to 7pm (hours are subject to change)

Old Town San Diego State Historic Park Guided Tours:
Guided tours take place daily at 11AM and 2AM at the visitor center
Educational tours are also available upon reservation.

Old Town San Diego State Historic Park Fees
Admission to the museums and the visitor center is FREE.
Parking and entering the park is FREE.
